Learn to ride and get licensed!

Welcome to Pacific Motorcycle Training, the top school to learn how to ride a motorcycle safely in the San Francisco Bay. During our classes, you will learn everything you need to know to ride and control your motorcycle safely. Whether you are interested in learning the basics of riding a motorcycle—and getting your license endorsement—or simply improving your motorcycle skills to be safer on the road, come with us and we will provide you with the best classes you can get in the San Francisco Bay. We are part of the California Motorcyclist Safety Program and all of our instructors are certified to teach the Total Control riding courses.

Convenient on-line classroom

The classroom portion consists of a six-hour course called eRider that can be done at your convenience and in the comfort of your home. It is highly interactive, using video and other features to address risk management, riding strategy, roadway management, impairments, and special riding situations like carrying passengers and group riding. Participants complete all classroom activities (6 chapters) before their first in-person motorcycle riding session. The motorcycle riding portion of the course consists of 10 hours of in-person instruction on gas powered motorcycles. The 10-hours of riding instruction takes place over two days and builds fundamental street-riding skills and strategies.

The eRider is a great option for busy students who are successful at learning in an individualized, self-paced environment. Please check our eRider FAQs page for eRider system requirements.

"Dylan, Chris, and Q were all excellent instructors! I genuinely feel so much more safe and confident on a motorcycle now, and definitely recommend anyone thinking of riding (even if you're just riding Revel scooters around SF like I am!) to do the class, totally worth it."
- Allen Nikka, November 2022
"Really detailed explanations, very clear and wants everyone to pass, as long as you come in with an open mind anyone should be able to pass. nice safe place for any concerns, and exploration for riding bikes, recommend. all resources were provided to be able to participate in class and pass. Instructors are awesome"
- Marquez Nicolas, July 2023
"I struggled a lot with the weight of the bike and fell a couple times. Q gave me helpful tips on balancing the bike and offered a lighter bike. All the teachers were very helpful, knowledgable and patient. The first day was hard learning the basics but by the end I learned how to ride the motorcycle and was able to pass the class."
- Sofia Sustal, March 2023
"I took the beginner course here. Before taking this course, I had never been on a motorcycle. Now I can say I can confidently operate a bike and be safe. Wyatt, Erin, and Q are great instructors! They are super knowledgeable and patient. Throughout the course, they did a great job at building up everyone’s confidence and preparing them for the assessment. I will definitely be taking the intermediate course once I get my own bike!"
- Raymond Hernandez, November 2024
"I had never driven a motorcycle before and by the end of the class I was able to shift up and down, understand how to use both brakes, and execute proper turning techniques. The instructors, Dylan and Crusoe, ensured everyone was on the same page for the exercises and would provide positive and negative feedback on how the students performed on the exercises. I highly recommend this course!"
- Nick Rodriguez, June 2023
"I had a great time! Great instructors, very knowledgeable and gave good feedback. Generally patient people, but can be stern when they need to, as motorcycling is a very dangerous sport. Ending up passing the test at the end of my beginner lesson with 0 points taken off. Great school!"
- Karsen Garrity, June 2023
"Great class and superb instructors! Wyatt, Dylan and Anthony were great teachers and really encouraging and patient with beginners. Highly recommend"
- Kathleen He, November 2024
