Learn to ride and get licensed!

Welcome to Pacific Motorcycle Training, the top school to learn how to ride a motorcycle safely in the San Francisco Bay. During our classes, you will learn everything you need to know to ride and control your motorcycle safely. Whether you are interested in learning the basics of riding a motorcycle—and getting your license endorsement—or simply improving your motorcycle skills to be safer on the road, come with us and we will provide you with the best classes you can get in the San Francisco Bay. We are part of the California Motorcyclist Safety Program and all of our instructors are certified to teach the Total Control riding courses.

Convenient on-line classroom

The classroom portion consists of a six-hour course called eRider that can be done at your convenience and in the comfort of your home. It is highly interactive, using video and other features to address risk management, riding strategy, roadway management, impairments, and special riding situations like carrying passengers and group riding. Participants complete all classroom activities (6 chapters) before their first in-person motorcycle riding session. The motorcycle riding portion of the course consists of 10 hours of in-person instruction on gas powered motorcycles. The 10-hours of riding instruction takes place over two days and builds fundamental street-riding skills and strategies.

The eRider is a great option for busy students who are successful at learning in an individualized, self-paced environment. Please check our eRider FAQs page for eRider system requirements.

"Really detailed explanations, very clear and wants everyone to pass, as long as you come in with an open mind anyone should be able to pass. nice safe place for any concerns, and exploration for riding bikes, recommend. all resources were provided to be able to participate in class and pass. Instructors are awesome"

"I took the beginner course here. Before taking this course, I had never been on a motorcycle. Now I can say I can confidently operate a bike and be safe. Wyatt, Erin, and Q are great instructors! They are super knowledgeable and patient. Throughout the course, they did a great job at building up everyone’s confidence and preparing them for the assessment. I will definitely be taking the intermediate course once I get my own bike!"
- Raymond Hernandez, November 2024
"Excellent experience. Instructors were capable, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. They always had specialized feedback for each student after a practice exercise that I found very helpful in improving my technique. The course was informative and we had plenty of opportunity to practice on the bikes. Have already recommended to several friends who are looking to take the CMSP. The only downside was that most of the training bikes were very old and had seen better days..."
- Kristen Wade, June 2024
"Instructors were very patient and informative. They are very understanding of riders who have never been on a bike and make time to take you aside and explain how to adjust your riding style to improve your skills to have a better and safer riding experience! Thank you so much guys and special thanks to Stephanie!"
- Ryan, January 2025
"The instructors are very friendly and patient with riders who are typically new to riding. Ensuring that they are pausing to answer questions and allowing time for new riders to catch up with those that might have some experience. They are constantly providing feedback to ensure that riders are correcting behavior to be successful with the class. I would highly recommend these guys for those who are looking to sign up for some lessons!"
- Rimal Kumar, August 2024
"It’s a great place for beginners to learn to ride motorcycles. The course was designed well by the awesome instructors Watt, Steve and Tom. They provided great instruction and helped new riders gain confidence and skills. Absolutely recommended 5/5."

"Lots of fun! Plan on continuing with the Intermediate and Advanced Courses. Great location... I drove from Sac to avoid the 100 deg days. Instructors: Tony, Q, Steven, and Dillon were each awesome. Great conclusion by Dillon making sure we understand our level of experience... saving lives."
