Convenient on-line classroom

The classroom portion consists of a six-hour course called eRider that can be done at your convenience and in the comfort of your home. It is highly interactive, using video and other features to address risk management, riding strategy, roadway management, impairments, and special riding situations like carrying passengers and group riding. Participants complete all classroom activities (6 chapters) before their first in-person motorcycle riding session. The motorcycle riding portion of the course consists of 10 hours of in-person instruction on gas powered motorcycles. The 10-hours of riding instruction takes place over two days and builds fundamental street-riding skills and strategies.

The eRider is a great option for busy students who are successful at learning in an individualized, self-paced environment. Please check our eRider FAQs page for eRider system requirements.

"They did a great job. Cool instructors and students. The only thing they can improve is their lot to make it more realistic to everyday riding conditions. But they did a great job with what they have and everything is practical, useful and safety oriented. Thank you guys"

"Great course that taught me the necessary skills while having some fun. They have a variety of bikes to learn on and the instructors Chris and Dillon were real cool overall great experience with the only one real downside being there can be a few too many people for the course I felt. 🤙"

"This is class covers basic information, but that is often the most important! While a lot of it should be common sense, I'm not sure people drive with it around here, so it's a great way to learn to ride in a safely in a friendly environment. I would recommend this course to anyone who wants to learn to ride motorcycles and be safe doing it. I also recommend it to anyone who wants a license in the Bay Area and doesn't want to wait 4 months to take the permit test and then another 6 months to get you M1. This class allows you to get your M1 if you are over 21+ years old with one walk in visit to hell, sorry the DMV. The staff are friendly, sassy, and helpful and take the class seriously. NOTE: BE ON TIME TO ALL SESSIONS, there is a zero tardiness policy, they have to do it this way to qualify as a replacement to the DMV riding test, SO RESPECT IT! Otherwise it's a great weekend in a parking lot on small bikes learning to ride safely by practicing evasive maneuvers through cones and fast stops to be ready in the real world."

"Doesn't matter if you're a beginner or a seasoned rider - PMT has been taking riders to new levels of riding safety and skill for years. Instructors are patient and effective - can't recommend this crew enough!"

"I had a great time taking this course! The instructors Craig and Issac, were patient with me and answered all of my questions. (I hope I didn't ask too many!) They were very informative and made me feel confident, and now I can be a better rider and also a better driver too! I would recommend this course to anyone in the Bay area no matter what level of rider you are."

"🏍️ Fantastic Beginner Experience: Boosted Confidence on the Road I recently completed the motorcycle course on April 27-28, and as someone with minimal experience, I can't emphasize enough how valuable this course was for me. Not only was it incredibly enjoyable, but it also significantly enhanced my confidence in handling a motorcycle. The instructors were the true stars of the show. Their wealth of experience was evident, and they adeptly conveyed essential knowledge while making the learning process engaging and fun. Despite my initial nerves, their clear explanations, accompanied by real-life examples, helped me grasp the do's and don'ts of motorcycle riding. Though I struggle with remembering names, one instructor stood out for me. Their engaging manner and ability to project their voice over the engine noises made every lesson crystal clear. What impressed me most was their attentiveness. They promptly addressed any errors in our riding techniques, ensuring that we steered clear of developing bad habits. My biggest takeaway from the course? Listen to the instructors. Their guidance equips you not just with the necessary skills, but also with a profound sense of safety on the road. Thanks to their dedication, I now feel more prepared than ever to hit the streets on my motorcycle. In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend this course to anyone looking to kickstart their journey into motorcycling. I, for one, am eagerly looking forward to enrolling in future courses and honing my skills further."
