Learn to ride and get licensed!

Welcome to Pacific Motorcycle Training, the top school to learn how to ride a motorcycle safely in the San Francisco Bay. During our classes, you will learn everything you need to know to ride and control your motorcycle safely. Whether you are interested in learning the basics of riding a motorcycle—and getting your license endorsement—or simply improving your motorcycle skills to be safer on the road, come with us and we will provide you with the best classes you can get in the San Francisco Bay. We are part of the California Motorcyclist Safety Program and all of our instructors are certified to teach the Total Control riding courses.

Convenient on-line classroom

The classroom portion consists of a six-hour course called eRider that can be done at your convenience and in the comfort of your home. It is highly interactive, using video and other features to address risk management, riding strategy, roadway management, impairments, and special riding situations like carrying passengers and group riding. Participants complete all classroom activities (6 chapters) before their first in-person motorcycle riding session. The motorcycle riding portion of the course consists of 10 hours of in-person instruction on gas powered motorcycles. The 10-hours of riding instruction takes place over two days and builds fundamental street-riding skills and strategies.

The eRider is a great option for busy students who are successful at learning in an individualized, self-paced environment. Please check our eRider FAQs page for eRider system requirements.

"Outstanding class, instructors knew the material but also provided me insightful tips that really made a difference in real time. I appreciated the feedback and truthfully it was not an easy class to complete and requires stamina. Elvie and Erin were so supportive and so was Tony, highly valued their comments and feedback. Relax elbows, ride smoothly and don’t get overly confident. I would recommend all three levels of riding before getting out on the road..."
- David Peschard, December 2023
"Fantastic course. Instructors were clear, friendly and efficient. Really helped build a lot of basic skills. Highly recommend. Only downside was the cold and windy weather in South SF!"
- Eric Wald, June 2024
"I took the beginner course here. Before taking this course, I had never been on a motorcycle. Now I can say I can confidently operate a bike and be safe. Wyatt, Erin, and Q are great instructors! They are super knowledgeable and patient. Throughout the course, they did a great job at building up everyone’s confidence and preparing them for the assessment. I will definitely be taking the intermediate course once I get my own bike!"
- Raymond Hernandez, November 2024
"What a great experience! The instructors were really outstanding, explained each exercise in great detail, and made sure everyone in class clearly understood what to do. Not only was it so fun to learn how to ride a motorcycle, but I also learned how to do so safely. Highly recommend! In addition to having outstanding instructors and many different types/sizes of motorcycles they also had free loaner boots, gloves, and helmets!!"
- Yve Stephan, October 2024
"All three instructors I had really knocked it out of the park. The training hours felt like time and money very well-spent. I gained concrete skills on the bike and got really good feedback on my technique as I learned. Instructors were direct yet patient and did well managing a variety of skill levels. There were two instructors each day and they did great managing a fairly large group. It never felt like too many people or like I didn't have the chance to ask questions..."
- Brandon Braegelmann, April 2023
"really awesome! Tony, Q, and steve 10/10 would recommend. they keep all their promises and I feel more confident to hit the streets. plus the online course before was helpful!"
- ab banks, April 2024
"The instructors were fantastic! Thomas, Erin, and Maya were all incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about motorcycles. Their enthusiasm was contagious, which made the course fun and engaging. They were patient and always happy to answer questions, no matter how basic. I felt comfortable making mistakes and learned a lot from their clear explanations and demonstrations."
- Niheer Thakur, July 2024
