Learn to ride and get licensed!

Welcome to Pacific Motorcycle Training, the top school to learn how to ride a motorcycle safely in the San Francisco Peninsula. During our classes, you will learn everything you need to know to ride and control your motorcycle safely. Whether you are interested in learning the basics of riding a motorcycle—and getting your license endorsement—or simply improving your motorcycle skills to be safer on the road, come with us and we will provide you with the best classes you can get in the San Francisco Peninsula. We are part of the California Motorcyclist Safety Program and all of our instructors are certified to teach the Total Control riding courses.

Our San Bruno site is only a 15-20 minute walk from BART, so it is a great option for students needing to use public transportation. (Note: if taking BART, sign up for our PM session and be sure to go https://www.bart.gov/planner to plan your trip.) The training location is also easy to get to by car as it is conveniently located off HWY 380 and El Camino Real, right between 101 and 280.

Convenient on-line classroom

The classroom portion consists of a six-hour course called eRider that can be done at your convenience and in the comfort of your home. It is highly interactive, using video and other features to address risk management, riding strategy, roadway management, impairments, and special riding situations like carrying passengers and group riding. Participants complete all classroom activities (6 chapters) before their first in-person motorcycle riding session. The motorcycle riding portion of the course consists of 10 hours of in-person instruction on gas powered motorcycles. The 10-hours of riding instruction takes place over two days and builds fundamental street-riding skills and strategies.

The eRider is a great option for busy students who are successful at learning in an individualized, self-paced environment. Please check our eRider FAQs page for eRider system requirements.

We welcome all San Bruno residents as well as future riders from neighboring towns such as Hillsborough, Millbrae, Burlingame, Pacifica, San Francisco, Colma, Daly City, Brisbane, and more.

"PMT class was an amazing experience, much better curriculum and instructors than I’ve found through any of the other many classes I’ve taken. Registration was simple. Instructors delivered materials efficiently and in pretty simple terms. Thanks, guys! I’ll come back to you guys for sure when I decide on to move to intermediate and advanced classes. Highly recommend"

"A must for anyone thinking of riding. The instructors are amazing and actually care about you learning vs just trying to get you through the lesson. The exercises are useful and to the point, none of the time is wasted on anything you wouldn’t use on the road."
- Chris Wong, July 2023
"I took the Pacific Motorcycle Training course in San Bruno and it was an incredible experience. The instructors did an awesome job not only teaching in-class principles effectively, but demonstrating in the field why those principles are relevant and necessary if you’re planning on riding motorcycles for a lifetime. I had a great time in this class and would recommend it to anyone who wants to be a better, safer, and more proficient rider."
- Adam Stroup, January 2023
"Great course even if you have zero riding experience like me. Instructor Dillon struck a great balance between enthusiastic coaching, professional approach and having a good time. Lots of time actually riding and learning to handle the bike. You can bring your own bike if you check with the office first. My partner (who already rides) took this class with me and thought it was a significantly better class than other CSMP courses he has attended in the area..."
- Elena Morozova, March 2024
"Highly recommended if you want to get your motorcycle license. Wyatt, Evie and Lorenzo are awesome instructors. They were very patient and made sure that we are properly trained before we go on the road."
- Gene Pinto, August 2025
"Couldn’t hope for a more comprehensive way to refresh my memory after not riding for the last ten years, and get my motorcycle endorsement while at it. Super easy to reach (walk through the Tanforan from the San Bruno BART station and it’s right across the street) and incredibly patient and knowledgeable instructors (props to Dillon for his great attitude and humor!)."
- Jack Scano, April 2024
"I had a great experience with Pacific Motorcycle Training. The coaches were super knowledgeable, upbeat, and made the class a ton of fun. I would highly recommend their training classes to all levels of riders. I noticed a remarkable different in my skill level since training with them and look forward to going back!"
